JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for the Mobile/iPad/Tablet App development for a variety of guest facing applications. This role is pivotal in delivering seamless, intuitive, and high-performance digital experiences that elevate guest engagement and operational efficiency across our hospitality ecosystem. Partners with other Engineers, Tech leads and EA to advise on solutioning for major features, providing recommendations for improvements around workflows, tools with adherence to architecture and security standards. Stays abreast of the platform ecosystem to remain an expert authority on OS and device capabilities and possibilities. Researches and explores other tools, solutions, frameworks, etc. and how the industry and community at large are using them. Leads proof of concepts and helps to objectively assess technologies against goals and constraints. Educates the mobile engineering community, internal and external.
Experience
10+ years of application development leadership experience that includes:
Enterprise-scale native mobile application development across multiple platforms with a strong capability in IOS, Android and iPadOS.
Experience developing apps in Flutter and Dart is preferred.
Extensive experience in development of a variety of large-scale Mobile apps
Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns, experience with state management solutions, and expertise in implementing offline support and background tasks.
Management of multiple Omni-Channel development efforts integrating with multiple back-end systems
Experience with Automation, CI/CD, Release Management processes and Application Deployments to app stores.
Familiarity with Enterprise level SDKs for Analytics, Networking, Customer Engagement, Application Performance Monitoring
Strong understanding of API platforms, back-end services, database and networking components of full stack infrastructure.
Proven knowledge of Agile methodology; preferably Safe Agile
Good process management, negotiating, influencing and problem resolution skills
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience with mixed onshore and offshore delivery models
Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and hospitality culture
Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action
Ability to understand and communicate the lifecycle of technologies and applications and to translate into business strategies for the client organizations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms
Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and leading in a managed service environment

Front-End Architecture & Development
Design and implement scalable, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for various native mobile applications.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into production-ready code.
Optimize performance across devices and screen sizes, ensuring smooth interactions and fast load times.
Ensure code quality and best practices
Platform Integration
Integrate with backend services including catalog, search, CRS, PMS, payments, loyalty, and customer data systems.
Ensure compliance with security protocols, including OAuth and privileged account management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality releases.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Collaborate/Co-develop with other resources including vendors, partners and offshore resources
