\n The Head of Vision Care Platforms is responsible for defining and driving a\n \n cohesive, forward-looking technology vision and architectural strategy\n \n for Vision Care workflow platforms. This includes ensuring strong alignment with\n \n ZEISS global technology standards, product roadmaps, and long-term innovation objectives\n \n .\n
\n\n The role leads the design and evolution of\n \n cloud-native, containerized, microservices-based architectures\n \n that enable scalable, modular, and highly resilient digital workflows. A core accountability is the\n \n end-to-end ownership of the edge computing strategy\n \n , encompassing one-touch provisioning, remote lifecycle management, Zero Trust security principles, and cloud-based edge fleet management at global scale.\n
\n\n The position ensures\n \n seamless integration across heterogeneous environments\n \n , including precision optical and medical devices, retail and clinical systems, and enterprise platforms, thereby enabling consistent, secure, and high-quality user experiences across geographies.\n

\n The incumbent oversees\n \n end-to-end platform delivery\n \n , spanning architecture, design, implementation, deployment, and long-term operations. This includes establishing and institutionalizing\n \n robust DevSecOps practices\n \n , embedding security, quality, compliance, and automation by design across the entire software lifecycle.\n
\n\n The role is accountable for driving\n \n platform reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency\n \n across hybrid cloud and edge environments. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring that all platforms meet\n \n data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements\n \n relevant to healthcare and vision care ecosystems, while remaining adaptable to evolving compliance landscapes.\n

\n The Head of Vision Care Platforms maintains\n \n deep technical oversight and governance\n \n across the core technology stack, including:\n
