\n \n We are seeking an experienced Delayed Coker/Visbreaker Engineering Specialist to join the Operation Engineering Solutions Department (OESD).\n \n

\n

\n

\n

\n \n OESD's technical team is responsible for providing high-quality, multi-disciplinary support to Global Manufacturing operating facilities (Refineries, NGLF, and petrochemical plants) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and globally.\n \n

\n

\n

\n

\n \n Your primary role is to provide in-depth process engineering and operations expertise to monitor, optimize, and drive performance improvement programs for refineries' delayed Coker and visbreaker, including both remote and on-site technical advisory support, benchmarking, and technology knowledge management\n \n

\n \n Key Responsibilities\n \n

\n \n As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:\n \n

  • \n \n Conduct comprehensive performance reviews of existing delayed coker/visbreaker facilities, and analyze KPIs related to operability, profitability, reliability, and process safety.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Develop and present quarterly benchmarking reports with actionable improvement recommendations.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Provide hands-on support in implementing performance improvement initiatives, demonstrating measurable results in closing identified gaps from quarterly benchmarking reports.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Lead benchmarking and best practices exchange workshops among Global Manufacturing facilities (wholly-owned and affiliates), and facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement in delayed coker/visbreaker technologies.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Deliver on-demand remote and field technical advisory support, including troubleshooting, optimization, debottlenecking, revamp, and upgrade activities and provide detailed service reports for each support activity.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Drive performance improvement programs that enhance process safety, optimize manufacturing costs, and increase plant reliability for delayed coker/visbreaker units.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Develop and implement best practices and standards for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and maintenance, while ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Provide expert technical support to project teams and contractors for delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and procurement activities.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Coordinate with other disciplines (process, mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical) to ensure optimal performance and integration of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Conduct regular audits and inspections of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n Evaluate and recommend new technologies and innovations for delayed coker/visbreaker improvement and optimization.\n \n

\n \n Minimum Requirements\n \n

\n
\n
\n
    \n
  • \n \n You will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have a minimum of 15 years of experience across the refinery and/or petrochemical industry, with at least 10 years of hands-on experience in delayed coker/visbreaker specialty.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will be able to optimize delayed coker/visbreaker operations, with specific examples of performance improvements achieved.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have comprehensive knowledge of delayed coker/visbreaker processes, equipment, and systems in refining and petrochemical industries.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have deep understanding of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 & 2, ASME Section I, API-530, API-535, API-537, API-560, API-579, API-936, and NFPA standards applicable to fired equipment.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have Significant experience in inspection and failure analysis of delayed coker/visbreaker equipment.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have proficiency in basic and advanced NDE techniques related to delayed coker/visbreaker equipment.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n High level of proficiency in using software tools related to delayed coker/visbreaker engineering and design, such as Aspen Hysys, ANSYS, and HTRI.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have knowledge of remaining life calculations for heater tubes and refractory design and repair.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present technical reports to various audiences.\n \n
    • \n
  • \n \n You will also have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.\n \n
