roles and responsibilities of developers entail the design, development, and deployment of SAP Vertex as part of our enterprise-wide S/4HANA implementation.</p><h2> <strong>  You'll make a difference by: </strong></h2><ul> <li>  Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Vertex O'Series with SAP S/4HANA to meet specific business needs ensuring seamless real-time tax calculation across order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes. </li> <li>  Design, develop, and deploy robust custom enhancements, user exits, BADIs, and integration points using ABAP to enable accurate and automated tax determination, calculation, and reporting. </li> <li>  Ensure the smooth configuration and mapping of tax data between SAP and Vertex, including jurisdiction codes, tax conditions, and reporting structures. </li> <li>  Work closely with Siemens IT, CF T experts, SAP Basis and Security teams to ensure optimal system performance, system integration, and compliance with regulatory standards. </li> <li>  Integrate Vertex O'Series with other systems such as SAP ERP, S/4HANA core modules (e.g. SD, MM, FI), and other external systems. </li> <li>  Ensure user documentation, test plans, and technical solution design documents are up-to-date and align with the internal project standards. </li> <li>  Provide guidance and mentorship to support teams during UAT, release, and hypercare phases. </li> <li>  You systematically identify and propose solutions for process improvements, technical issue resolution, as well as standardization, harmonization and automation in customs-related business processes to ensure compliance across customs processes. </li></ul><h2> <strong>  Your success is grounded in: </strong></h2><ul> <li>  Demonstrable experience with Vertex O Series integration into SAP S/4HANA, especially for indirect tax determination and calculation. </li> <li>  Deep understanding of and experience with SAP tax procedures, condition techniques, and how tax determination works within FI, SD, and MM modules. </li> <li>  Proficiency in ABAP, OO ABAP, BAPIs, IDocs, ALE, RFCs, BADIs, and User Exits. </li> <li>  Familiarity with S/4HANA architecture and best practices for embedded tax and external tax engine integration. </li> <li>  Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, or SAP CPI is a plus </li> <li>  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. </li> <li>  Effective communication and collaboration skills to interact with business stakeholders, project managers, and cross-functional teams. </li> <li>  Vertex certification or training is a strong advantage. </li> <li>  Business fluent English skills are required, both written and spoken.
