Position Description:
The Application Engineer is a senior full-stack engineer based in Pune, reporting to U.S. engineering leadership and working within a small AI engineering team. This is a delivery-focused role -- the primary accountability is building, shipping, and operating production-grade applications that integrate AI capabilities with human-in-the-loop workflows.
This role owns front-end and back-end implementation end-to-end, from application architecture and development through deployment, operational support, and continuous improvement. That includes React/Next.js user experiences, API-driven backend services, workflow orchestration, state management, and governance controls, delivered in close partnership with U.S. engineering, product, data, and AI teams.
The right candidate is equally comfortable designing application architecture and writing production code, navigating complex asynchronous workflows and debugging live systems, and integrating generative AI capabilities into applications while maintaining auditability, reliability, and compliance.
