We're a technology company that leads with our humanity—driving our business priorities alongside meaningful social, community, and societal impact.</h3><br/><br/><h4> Manage end-to-end payroll operations, statutory compliance, and payroll accounting across APAC countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.</h4><br/><br/><h3> How you will make an impact:</h3><br/><ul> <br/> <li>  Execute end-to-end payroll processing for APAC regions (monthly/bi-weekly cycles). </li> <br/> <li>  Validate all payroll inputs, including hires, exits, variable pay, benefits, and equity (RSU/ESPP). </li> <br/> <li>  Review payroll outputs, variance reports, and ensure data accuracy. </li> <br/> <li>  Coordinate with ADP and local payroll vendors for timely and accurate processing. </li> <br/> <li>  Ensure compliance with local tax laws, social security regulations, and statutory requirements. </li> <br/> <li>  Oversee and validate statutory filings and payments within defined timelines. </li> <br/> <li>  Liaise with external tax advisors on compliance and advisory matters. </li> <br/> <li>  Prepare, review, and post payroll-related journal entries (salary, accruals, reversals). </li> <br/> <li>  Perform reconciliations (payroll liabilities, taxes, benefits, and stock compensation) and support month-end close with accurate GL reporting. </li> <br/> <li>  Supporting audits, internal controls (SOX), and cross-functional collaboration. </li> <br/></ul><br/><br/><h3> The Must have:</h3><br/><ul> <br/> <li>  CA Intermediate (CA Inter), MCom, or MBA in Finance. </li> <br/> <li>  2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a multinational environment. </li> <br/> <li>  Proficiency in ERP systems, Payroll software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. </li> <br/> <li>  Strong knowledge of Multi country payroll process, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and GL process. </li> <br/></ul><br/><br/><h3> Nice to have:</h3><br/><ul> <br/> <li>  Exposure to SOX controls and audit processes </li> <br/> <li>  Experience with global payroll systems </li> <br/> <li>  Experience in Payroll Tax filings </li> <br/></ul><br/><br/><p> #LI-MP2</p><br/><br/><p> At Ciena, we are committed to building and fostering an environment in which our employees feel respected, valued, and heard.
